Syracuse High School

Davis School District

Syracuse, Utah

Syracuse High School is designed to incorporate current innovations but with the flexibility to accommodate emerging technologies. Tabletop PC labs located throughout the building include business, writing labs, biotech and multi-media. The music department has a MIDI lab. Additionally nine 32-station mobile wireless "labs" consisting of two carts of 16 laptops are located in each of the eight academic houses and the media center. Wireless access points are ceiling mounted in every teaching space of the school and throughout common areas.

An applied technology center combines multi-media, an IT lab, TV studio and presentation room. Principles of technology, drafting and prototyping labs are adjacent to the agriculture lab, welding, millwork shop, auto shop and construction trades classroom. These spaces surround a two story demonstration atrium with views into all labs, shops and classrooms.
