Odyssey Elementary School

Davis School District

Woods Cross City, Utah

Odyssey Elementary School is the first in a series of prototype elementary schools for Davis School District. The school is two (2) stories, organized around a central commons / dining area, with the classroom areas organized into two multi-story wings. Each wing houses an integrated collaboration space that supports a project-based curriculum. One of the primary goals during the design of the school was to provide an integrated theme, in this case "Bodies in Motion." The exterior of the building has undulating metal panels that evoke motion and reference the scales of a fish.

Odyssey is the first LEED Gold certified school in Utah, and the first on-site Zero-Energy building in the state.
