Bear River High School

Box Elder School District

Garland, Utah

A multi-phased occupied renovation of the existing Bear River high school facility involving the demolition of the 2 story administration wing, two-story classroom wing, FCS department, Main kitchen, Main entry building, Central steam mechanical plant, and auxiliary gymnasium. These spaces were replaced with a new state of the art 2 story classroom building that also houses the administration, counseling, commons, dining, kitchen, dance, weight, fitness, and wresting areas. In addition to this the existing auxiliary gymnasium was replaced with a 40,000 square foot auxiliary educational building known as the B.E.A.R. Center, which accommodates both athletics, and educational programs for the high school. Lastly the existing main gym, known as the Memorial Gymnasium, was retrofitted by renovating the associated locker spaces on the south, west, and north ends of the building, adding fire sprinklers, and replacing the mechanical ventilation system. And finally the natatorium was added onto by constructing a new seating area and team locker rooms, with associated coaches offices.
